Parley Pratt Nelson was born 17 February 1875 to Peter Nielsen (Larsen) and Bollette Petronelle Svendsen in Monroe, Sevier, Utah. While a student at Brigham Young Academy, he participated in the Cluff Expedition to South America from April-August 1900. Not long after the expedition, he served a mission in Southern California (August 1900-Apri1 1902). He died 12 September 1946. From the description of Papers, 1900-1903. (Brigham Young University).
